Today, my husband and I are getting together with our kids and their families to celebrate our older kid’s 40th birthday. Hard to believe that we have a #middleaged child. So fortunate that we’re both (as a neighbor used to say) still #perpendicular.

The cat is laying on its own tail that is tucked back straight and neatly behind its own body except for the tip, which pokes helplessly out between two stiff, fuzzy back feet.
The nails on the feet are a little overgrown and and protrude slightly; you can maybe hear them tapping against hardwood floor or tile when the cat is up and walking about. But right now they are completely silent.
Perpendicular to the back of the cat is a thin, rectilinear pillow with a paisley design on the outer fabric which is, I believe, 100% cotton. The pillow belongs to the cat.

To construct a #ParallelLine to a given line (in blue) in 2D #EuclideanSpace, all you need to do is pick two #points and draw #circles centred at those points of a specified #radius. Draw a #perpendicular to the line at each point (in red) and then draw a new line passing through the intersection of the perpendicular with the circles and there is the line parallel to the original one.
