Nothing I do on my phone now is significantly different than what I did with it when it was brand new five years ago. If it is slower now, itโs because the latest software has become bloated and less efficient. What reason is there to be incapable of handling simple ampersands?? It's even more ridiculous that it ends up there anyway!

I just realized I have an internal rule about #AI content, and it depends on the type of account.
If you post obviously-AI images and you're just an individual, I might or might not mute you. However, if you are one of those quasi-commercial accounts that reposts news, blog content, recipes, etc., you're blocked. Fuck that.
I have this massive pet peeve about actors and actresses playing dead in TV shows / movies with their head conveniently resting on their arms. It bothers the ever living shit out of me. And if it didn't before for you, it will now, because you will start seeing that shit EVERY WHERE from now on.
My biggest peeve with #ChatGPT and #LLM s in general is those em-dashes. Only #typography pedants care about, or need them.

No one alive today was born in the 1900s. That would make them at least 116 years-old.
There are people who were born in the 1940s. There are people who were born in the 1980s. That is not the same thing as being born in the 1900s.
The 1900s is the first decade of the twentieth century, not the entire century, just like this is not the 2000s; It's the 2020s.
I believe it should be "Aunt Eefah" instead of "Aunt Tifa".
If you say the latter aloud, it sounds like you're pronouncing the T twice.
@TheBreadmonkey In a similar vein, I wish TV reviews would tell you at the top where they were available to watch. Iโve endlessly ploughed through recommendations of interesting programs only to learn that they are beyond my reach due to location/economics -Canโt subscribe to every streaming services and even the ones I do may have regionally biased output.
Iโve asked the Guardian to adopt this several times. Reader feedback made no appreciable impression on them.

#PetPeeve why writing apps such as Scrivener, Joplin or Ghostwriter do not play nice with anything that isn't markdown? Why can't I just copy and paste formatted text to them without going through stupid loops?
I just want this word to stay italic without having to review all the text I pasted, that's all...
