Finished up the other `Dockerfile` to build Phanpy straight from the source. Also cleaned up the everything so it was easier to read. Makes things pretty easy to build and switch over if I want to play with the bleeding edge.

To jeszcze nie koniec, bo pewnie sporo trzeba będzie poprawiać (plik źródłowy nie zawsze jest jasny i nie zawsze wiadomo czego dotyczy), ale poprawki to już będzie drobiazg w porównaniu z tym, co już zostało wykonane!

The `docker-compose.yaml` file builds like it's supposed to, got DNS and the central `nginx` server configured correctly, and now `phanpy.jamesthebard.net` is online and working. Pretty happy with how smoothly everything came together. I still need to add the ability to build bleeding-edge from their repo, but this will work for the time being.

Looking really, really good. Serving the site with ease and the `Dockerfile` doing exactly what it's supposed to do. Next step: getting it to the `docker` server and connecting all the plumbing to host.

I think it's time to play around with some Phanpy. Love the layout, figured it would be pretty simple to get it into a Docker container and bring it up at `phanpy.jamesthebard.net`.

C’est vraiment intéressant par l’originalité de l’interface (en particulier la séparation visuelle entre les publications et les partages) et par la possibilité de retrouver l’interface multicolonne si on le désir.

Par contre, #Phanpy c’est vraiment aligné sur #Mastodon (et #GoToSocial semble-t-il) du coup avec #Pleroma on perd quelques fonctionnalités avancées.

Par exemple la possibilité d’organiser les signets en sous dossiers (très pratique).

Il y a aussi des fonctions exclusives de Mastodon (publications « tendances ») qui sont tout de même proposées, mais renvoient sur une page vide.

Je testerais un peu plus à l’occasion.

• i dislike its absence of an actual button option for Slow Update, coz current design means that once you approach the top of any timeline from below [i read upwards, following the chronology], the timeline then jumps to the very top with the new items, losing my reading place
• dislike being unable to globally exclude Boosts from timelines
• dislike its weird way of handling Notifications
• dislike needing to use an external source for emojis

All four of those are better [for me] in Statuzer.

One fabulous feature in #Phanpy, that #Statuzer unfortunately lacks, is the temporary option presented, after one toots, to review said toot in an overlay, without disturbing any timelines. This is simply brilliant.

Un toot de alguien (que no me acuerdo) me llevó a un blog (que tampoco recuerdo porque no lo añadí a marcadores) y esto me llevó a probar #phanpy , que es un cliente de mastodon curioso e interesante.
Es fácil: ir a https://github.com/cheeaun/phanpy/releases, descargar el tar.gz último, crear una carpeta en tu home y descomprimirlo, y desde esa carpeta abrir una terminal, escribir "python3 -m http.server 8081", abrir en el navegador "localhost:8081" y voilà.

Nouveau service disponible, un client minimaliste et original pour la Fédiverse (Mastodon), qui propose une interface avec des fonctionnalités intéressantes.

Entre autre :

• Gestion de plusieurs comptes.
• Séparation visuelle entre publications et partages.
• Présentation multi-colonnes configurable.
• Raccourcis clavier personnalisés.

A noter que le service n’est pas limité à notre propre instance (social@tmprs), et peut être utilisé avec n’importe quel instance de la Fédiverse compatible avec l’API de #Mastodon (ex : #GoToSocial, #Pleroma, #Akkoma, etc.).

Côté confidentialité, #Phanpy c’est juste une Webapp qui ne stocke aucune donnée sur le serveur (ni identifiant, ni mot de passe, ni messages). Tout se passe dans le navigateur de l’ordinateur (ou du téléphone), c’est à dire sur votre propre machine.

@phanpy est un logiciel libre et open source, développé par @cheeaun. Documentation et code source disponibles sur le dépôt Github.

So my suspicion is that #Phanpy was somehow corrupted.

I'm not sure, however, if that's a symptom of a deeper issue, or the root cause itself.

Has anyone experienced a similar issue? If so, what were the steps to fixing it?

Some bad news. Something's gone horribly awry with my #YunoHost deployment. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated!

This is a two-part issue. First, the smaller of the two issues: Phanpy has gone AWOL. It's visible in some places, but not others.

Phany is listed as an app on the front page of the YunoHost UI.

But go into Admin, and it's not listed as an installed app.

Go to the URL it was installed at, and it's just a blank screen.

And yet. When I SSH in, and see what's in the /etc/yunohost/apps folder, Phanpy's files are still clearly installed on the server.

Now, here's where the Phanpy situation is a big issue... [1/3]
