@OhOkayKay I learnt about #photopea yesterday. It utilizes your browser to run the GUI, but it appeared to be able to save .PSD files.
It may work - I unfortunately only played with it for 5min so I can't share much more.
Another option that just jumped into my head is #krita which runs natively on Linux. It's like a Photoshop alternative. I don't know if it can work with .PSD files either. But worth a look as well.

@kreshok Gimp ist in Sachen Benutzerfreundlichkeit gewöhnungsbedürftig bzw. benötigt Einarbeitungszeit. Dann funktioniert es aber gut und bietet viele Funktionalitäten die auch Photoshop abdeckt.

For the ones who still have wet dreams thinking about #Adobe products on #Linux, I briefly tested #PhotoshopWEB and I am sorry to say that it is just a toy.
Forget about having a full featured Photoshop as web-application, #PhotoPea it is more advanced. If this is the trend, forget about about the whole idea at once.
My personal advise?
Start learning #Gimp, the upcoming version 3.2 is adding more sweat juice, you don't need to live on the #cloud.

Though Im sure many people in the masto communities already know about it, here's a recommendation for Photopea. A very real alternative to Photoshop for many uses, this is a browser-based app that has multiple functions of PS, all in the browser. You do not need to be connected to the internet once you have opened the webpage (I need to do a couple of tests on this to find out how it works). All your artwork is kept on your own computer, so uses the local-hosting model for privacy and security (eg similar to Cryptpad). It is incredibly powerful, and free. What the heck! That thing is great. Passed the 30second test, then passed the 5 minute test with flying colors.
Its basically the photoshop UI only much faster.
