Here’s an overview of how Lightroom Classic is different from Camera Raw:

Lightroom Classic currently has seven modules, which are useful depending on your needs. The way LrC evolved is Adobe took Camera RAW and put it in LrC as the “Develop” module, which is the second of seven modules. So the photo processing function is pretty similar. Watching videos on color theory in photography tonight. Started with a very interesting video about color in fashion and advertising photography, which didn't seem quite relevent to my work with Drone Photography.

Then I found this one, about color in Landscape Photography (more relevent to me). It's a very interesting video that gives me a better sense of how the pros (or this pro) think about processing color in their images.

Does anyone know a free and open source desktop app to remove shadows from photos?

Cíes Sexton, Pallas Photo, Lindhal’s, and now Reed. The last big, independent photo processing and imaging shop in Denver has closed, effective today. The folks at Reed did a great job, and were always wonderful to work with.

Screenshot of closing email from Reed’s owner: “Hi Alan In our 46 years in business, we have weathered some very challenging times. Most recently we've faced and overcome the 2008 recession, the demise of film processing, an unexpected move from our long-time location in Denver to the 40West Art District in Lakewood, and the 2020 Pandemic shutdowns. But the storm in which we currently find ourselves has resulted in a decision to close Reed Art & Imaging permanently effective today.”
