Pi hole Core erscheint jetzt in Version 6.1. Die #DNS Verarbeitung wurde vollständig an die #FTL Komponente übergeben. Dadurch wird das System stabiler und effizienter.

I just had to reconfigure my pihole just to accommodate for a broken iOS update.

Oh wait: It's a "security feature" that was turned on in the update....

It still breaks more secure networking than the usual ones...

Hint: Put mask.icloud.com and mask-h2.icloud.com on an allowlist or add BLOCK_ICLOUD_PR=false to your /etc/pihole/pihole-FTL.conf (and restart pihole-FTL service)

Ich habe gerade #pi_hole auf einem #raspberrypi installiert. Verwende ihn nun im heimischen Netzwerk. Bin mal gespannt, wieviel Werbung innerhalb von 24h blockiert wird, wenn die ganze Familie am Abend am surfen ist 😉

So the SD card in my pi-hole seems to have died. The Raspi keeps freezing up. So I made a new SD card with a standard Bookworm Raspi OS.
Trying to decide if I still need a pi-hole, though. A lot of legit websites seem to fail if pi-hole is running. I do like the overall concept, but I'm getting a little tired of the cat-and-mouse on some websites that I use regularly.

Updated my pi-hole (sounds weird) to the latest version. I never want to be without it again. Updating is as simple as running the following command:

pihole -up

@Shardiech In this moment I have four raspberry in my home: the first is a raspberry 1 with #transmission and openvpn server, one is a raspberry 2 with #pi_hole and the other are raspberry 4 with one with #yunohost and one with #kodi on #libreelec.
Yes, I have also a raspberry 3 but I don't know how to use it because #minecraft server for my sons does not work well on it! 😜
