Just finished sewing a new sling bag with a 32x18 LED matrix inside the pocket flap. The pocket flap snaps off so the matrix can be used in other designs. The #Pixelblaze controller and battery fit nicely inside the front pocket

Finished tweaking the map for this cluster of seven x 1" Fibonacci128. Driving it with a #PixelBlaze by @wizard

The diffusers on the new LED polyhedron (dihedral hexacontahedron, right) looked so much better than the first build that I had to print new ones for the truncated icosahedron (left). I also synced up the patterns on both builds (with #pixelblaze) and will be sitting here staring at them for the rest of the day.
I just got one of these gadgets today, and the more I think about it, the more impressed I am.
Not only does it make LED strands light up in pretty colors, not only can it accept nearly arbitrary patterns, but it also hosts a *Web UI,* on which you can edit the LED patterns *live!*
The LED deltoidal hexacontahedron is complete! 60 identical PCB sides covered with 3D printed diffusers. Two #Pixelblaze controllers work in sync to provide a fast frame rate for patterns on the 1200 LEDs.
Here's a demonstration of a sound-reactive pattern via the #PixelBlaze by @wizard playing on one Fibonacci512 surrounded by eight Fibonacci256.

I currently have one Fibonacci512 PixelBlaze available for sale, DM me if interested. With everything going on, this may be the last one I have available for quite some time.
Please note this one uses WS2812 LEDs, not SK9822. It's still gorgeous (if I do say so myself). ๐
Fully assembled, includes the brilliant #PixelBlaze and Sensor Expander by @wizard for sound-reactivity, live-coding patterns via web UI over wi-fi, etc.

Lately Iโve been working with #Pixelblaze Picos and pebble LEDs strands of various types, and I made some helper boards to make wiring them up easier! Hereโs a video about it, explaining how to use them to create a continuous LED chain with tentacles that drop down. I think these would be great for #cosplay and making a skirt. Iโve been working on these in collaboration with @wizard so theyโll be coming soon to the Alpenglow website and prob the Electromage site too! https://youtu.be/ITolLfaTvGk?feature=shared
Surprised and delighted to randomly see my LED Mapper tool used, along with #PixelBlaze by @wizard, in this absolutely brilliant LED mask build by @Seanhodgins!

Finished V2 of the truncated icosahedron, and I'm very happy with how it turned out. The sides are 32 hexagonal and pentagonal PCBs, joined by 3D printed corner connectors and covered with 3D printed diffusers. The pixels are mapped and it's running 3D animation patterns on a #pixelblaze.
Quick test with a #PixelBlaze and some DIY addressable LED paracord. Encasing the 2.7mm LED strand in the paracord took a bit of work but makes it looks nice.
First time using one of these and so far it's much nicer than some of the other things I've used. Looking forward to playing around with the accelerometer and live coding.
I should really revisit this project soon, using a #PixelBlaze V3 Pico with 6 Axis sensor by @wizard, and inductive charging. More info: https://www.evilgeniuslabs.org/plasma
Finished this art piece for my office!
The base for this piece is a cork board. I painted the frame, covered the cork in fabric, added a string of WS2812 LEDs controlled by a Pixelblaze V3 Standard LED controller, and then finished it up with some mirrors and flowers.
This art took 23 calendar days to finish, but only 7 of those are days where I actually made progress on this project. The other 16 days were focused on other events and projects in my life.
The materials cost:
$39 USD for Pixelblaze
$35 USD for the LEDs
$20 CAD for the fabric
$10 CAD for the mirrors
$ 6 CAD for the fake flowers
$15 CAD paint
$ 5 staples
+ cost of tools and miscellaneous supplies
If you order a Lux Lavalier Heart pendant now I can't promise it'll arrive by Valentine's Day, but I will upgrade it to priority shipping & try my best.
Powered by #PixelBlaze by @wizard, a small & mighty Wi-Fi LED controller with live-code patterns!

Progress continues slowly on the PCB truncated icosahedron project. I realized I'll have to redo all the 3D printed corner connectors for it to close fully and still look symmetric. Waiting for heat set inserts to arrive, so I hooked it up to a #pixelblaze controller just to enjoy the patterns.
Gibt's eigentlich ne sinnvolle รbersicht รผber alle die einzelnen einzeln adressierbaren LEDs da drauรen?
Is there an good Overview Out there of all those uniquely addressable LED types?

I made a PCB icosahedron for a #makergiftexchange, learning a lot in the process. I wanted it to be see-through, so the sides have triangular holes containing etched acrylic pieces illuminated at the corners. Laser cut faux leather covers the outside. A #Pixelblaze controls the patterns.
Look who's got a nice fancy mapped tree!
Many thanks for all the help over on GH from @themariday !!
We have success, Ladies & Germs!
Forest finally let me finish the tree!
And it's still Xmas! ๐๐
I haven't even mapped it yet and it looks pretty good! I'm happy!
But mapping it will be a fun exercise. (he says confidently with both shoes tied together)
Found a 2.7mm thin Neopixel strip with a silicone coating and decided to cram as many rows as would fit ( turned out to be 5) onto a headband. Added a #Pixelblaze Pico controller and an off the shelf holder for an AA-sized Li-Ion battery. I intend to be "light headed" for the holidays!
