It looks like the Liberux Nexx is no longer the only upcoming RK3588s #LinuxMobile phone:
The dawndrums Divine D will use the same very SoC, running a Debian/@mobian based OS called DawnOS (with GNOME Mobile/#Phosh or #PlasmaMobile).

We are constantly testing both KDE Plasma mobile and Phosh desktop environments on the Divine phone. We will provide dawnos images for both DEs. This is a photo of Plasma welcome screen running on Divine D.

Inzwischen habe ich ein #X1tab gen3 von #levono und habe die tablet-Funktion mit #opensuse #tumbleweed und Plasma Mobile gut zum Laufen bekommen. Vorher noch die #maliit-Tastatur installiert. Auch der #pen wird erkannt in #xournal (leider nur dort).
Nur mit kde-Plasma (ohne mobile) geht es leider nicht bei mir in der reinen tablet-Funktion.
Ich bin sehr erfreut über mein neues Spielzeug 😀

I have #plasmamobile running with #opensuse #tumbleweed on a levono #X1tab gen3. It's actually a tablet function, I can only use it with plasma mobile.
Works great with the keyboard and the pen is also recognized well with xournal.
I'll soon try to see if I can also make phone calls with it. Is there a sms app on plasma mobile?

Thanks to some studious bugfixing at the sprint I'm now finally able to daily drive Plasma Mobile longer-term.
Hey #linux users what's your mobile life look like? I've got a #lightphone that I carry around with me and I have an #iphone that sits in a drawer until I need to do some banking or other thing. I'm going to need a smartphone occasionally I just wish I had something as open as my #universalblue desktop.

A while ago I learned that Balatro is made in a fun game engine called #love2d, which turns out to be quite the cross-platform beast.
This of course meant I had no choice but to run it on my #linuxmobile phone running #postmarketos and #plasmamobile
Runs at a locked 60fps on my OnePlus 6T and plays really well besides needing some persuasion to accept screen rotation!
No movie magic, no translation layers, no virtual machines.

Pero bueno, son cosas que están y se que solucionan con tiempo y la pinta que tiene es muy buena. Y me ha gustado mucho, como usuario de #kde de media via me quedo encantado con este #plasmamobile, está muy bien y pinta aun mejor a futuro.
Bueno, llevo unos dias probando #plasmamobile en #postmarketos. He estado una temporada probando #phosh sobre #gnome, que me ha gustado mucho. Y he probado por cacharrear, mas que nada, no esperaba que mejorase mucho. Y me he equivocado. Plasma en móviles va muy bien. Cosas en las que gnome flojea, como el copiar y pegar entre apps o el escalado de apps no nativas, lo resuelven mucho mejor. Y la gestión de apps por gestos le da un toque mas moderno, gnome queda anticuado en ese sentido.
Pues se ha roto #tokodon . En #kdeneon y en el #plasmamobile del #postmarketos . Es lo que tiene 😅
Secondo voi visto l'andazzo delle ROM alternative causa #bigG ci sarà "un'impennata" nel settore mobile per gli OS open #linux come #plasmamobile #ubports #postmarketos #gnomemobile ecc? Porterà qualche dev in piú che svilupperà app specifiche? Magari un impennata cosi grande da portare grandi realtà a sviluppare app come io 🤣🤣🤣 da meta post sto vaneggiando 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Not pleased with #Fedora KDE #PlasmaMobile on my StarLite. It’s fairly slow, Bluetooth wouldn’t connect easily, and screen locking broke.
The screen locked after 5 minutes but it said the Lock Screen was broken. I had to Ctrl-Alt-F3 into a text terminal and loginctl unlock-session 2. What if I didn’t have a keyboard connected?
Later the Lock Screen worked but it demanded a PIN. I never set a PIN. Thankfully it accepted my password typed on my keyboard.
Let’s see if #Phosh on Debian works.
