So, if you are wondering why I was late to start live post yesterday, this is what I was trying to fix with my friend: It's a Roomba.

First time I've seen a motherboard of a clean base covered in plastic blister pack. Most likley to prevent dust from getting in, but it made it pain in a butt to repair.

This image shows the inside of an electronic device, likely part of a control system. At the center is a green printed circuit board (PCB) with numerous tiny components and solder points. Several wires are connected to the board: a red-and-white twisted pair, a red wire, and a white wire, each leading to different parts of the device. The red and white wires are secured with a yellow adhesive near the top left. At the bottom, a clear plastic tube is attached to a black circular component, possibly a sensor or pump. The board is housed in a clear plastic cover, revealing intricate electronic pathways and parts. This image shows the inside of an electronic device, likely part of a control system. I been chewing the cud because there’s flu in the blood
and there’s shit in the water of which none till the flood
there’s more co2 there as proportion of the air
than since complicated life was just a chance damn rare
and though we knew enough to be imbuing the mud
with nutrition as we ought we haven’t understood
or more tellingly forgetting each ecology scare
jesus properly wept seeing us come unprepared
to the dusk of the holocene cos we chose the polythene
teflon gone wrong when there’s non stick copper
with hygienic properties and heat stressed pottery
and that’s just the pots and the crockery
don’t even get me starting with the tupperware
or vinyl extensions in my eldest daughter’s hair
or my baby’s teddy bear always moulting majorly
and we still haven’t named the supply chain slavery

I'm pretty sure concerns were raised about the effect of #plastics and #pseudoestrogens in the environment being a likely source of reduced male fertility in consumer-culture nations ~30-some years' back.

Alas, no surprise additional complications are now showing up with #microplastic contamination. 😢

Protecting the environment is everyone's responsibility, but much of the waste we send to the landfill comes from products which offer no sustainable alternative. (Take a moment to inventory the plastics in your home.) What can I, the consumer, do to improve this situation?

There are always moments when you take a deep breath and just think about the things mankind does simply wrong. Time for #remembrance, time to pursue a change before itā€˜s too late... 😪

This image shows an arched tunnel-like structure made from netting filled with various pieces of plastic waste and trash, predominantly bottles. It appears to be an environmental artwork or installation meant to raise awareness about plastic pollution. At the end of the tunnel, there's a board with educational materials or information, likely explaining the impact of plastic waste on the environment. The setting looks to be outdoors, as indicated by the daylight and the presence of vegetation at the tunnel's exit. This image shows wet concrete tiles covered in an assortment of small, discarded objects, including colorful bottle caps, can tabs, and bits of broken glass. There are some areas where bubbles have formed, possibly from standing water mixing with some sort of detergent or residue, which suggests this could be an outdoor setting that has been exposed to rain and pollution. The presence of debris and waste gives the scene a neglected, urban feel. This image shows a collection of various types of plastic bottles that appear to be held together or collected in a mesh or net. The bottles, which include water and soda bottles of different sizes and colors, are likely being gathered for recycling or as part of a waste management process. The diversity of the bottles emphasizes the extent of plastic use and suggests a focus on environmental conservation or recycling efforts. This image features an environmental awareness installation on the side of a path, likely in a coastal or natural area. The installation is titled "PLASTIC NIGHTMARE" and vividly depicts the problem of plastic pollution. The design of the installation includes a large, realistic photograph that covers the sides of a box-like structure, showing a littered beach heavily strewn with plastic waste. On one side of the box, actual plastic garbage is amassed in a caged section, enhancing the message by exhibiting real-world pollution. Additionally, there is an information board next to the installation titled "Wat vindt u op de strand?" which translates to "What do you find on the beach?" from Dutch, providing educational content about beach litter. This setup serves both as a striking visual message about the impact of plastic pollution and an informative piece encouraging environmental consciousness.
