"In a new study, researchers found microplastics deep inside prostate cancer tumors, raising more questions about the role the ubiquitous pollutants play in public health.
The findings — which come from a small study of 10 men — were presented Monday at the American Society of Clinical Oncology’s Genitourinary Cancers Symposium and have not yet been published in a peer-reviewed journal."

♻️ The #CircularEconomy is not only essential to keep a habitable planet; it is also major business opportunity. Yet the EU remains far from its goal to double circularity to 24% by 2030.
As @EP_Environment is to debate #plastics circularity tomorrow, we reiterate EASAC’s scientific advice:

“#Recycling has been a big part of their arsenal. I think the thing that was so shocking was to read these documents and conference transcripts, going back to the 70s, to see that they understood it is really hard to make plastic recycling work.” They understood that an attempt at recycling would make consumers less guilty about waste they were producing. “They pushed so many myths and lies about recycling.”

Would anyone still disagree that THE ONLY function of "plastics #recycling" is to make us not worry about the crazy amount of plastics we use?
