Here's an easy win for etiquette pts: Never assume someone's rank and experience based on their sex and appearance. It's a very noisy heuristic, not to mention rude, sexist & racist. Just because you see a hospital worker who's a POC & female doesn't mean they're a nurse. Maybe they're the consultant or registrar. Spare yourself the embarrassment. Refer to the hospital uniform color code or err on the side of caution & ask politely. Staff will appreciate your sensitivity. #health #politeSociety
