Lost Poverty Row Films That Actually Sound Kinda Good: COCK O’ THE WALK (1930) from Sono Art-World Wide and producer James “Covered Wagon” Cruze.  Austrian Joseph Schildkraut plays an Argentinian café violinist who is pimped out by Myrna Loy to rich women- and ends up saving a suicidal woman by proposing marriage to her. This sounds insane and I am heartbroken this film is among the lost. #lostfilms #povertyrow #OldHollywood

A little thread on THE MONSTER WALKS (1932), a Poverty Row horror film for which I have an odd fondness. It’s directed by Frank Ry. Strayer, whose other horror efforts include CONDEMNED TO LIVE (1935) and the much-better-known THE VAMPIRE BAT (1932).
