Tens of thousands back the Czech president amid a cabinet dispute.

A large rally in Prague showed support for President Petr Pavel, who accused the country’s top diplomat of blackmail.

The row centres on Pavel’s refusal to appoint a controversial candidate as environment minister.

Organisers said between 80 000 and 90 000 people attended the rally. Some participants waved Czech, European and Ukrainian flags.
