#today I am reminded how remarkable it is that because of the #FOSS movement, there is an astoundingly large body of free software in the world that I can download and use, and if I find that it does something wrong or not to my liking, I can fix it.
Sometimes that's hard, but if I'm willing to put in the effort, I can do it.
37 years later, I still remember watching @eichin in the #MIT #SIPB office finding a bug in BSD grep on #ProjectAthena, tracking down the bug in dbx, and fixing it. 🧠💥
