Swansea’s most and least expensive streets revealed
The research looked at the last 5 years worth of home sales in the city, tracking average sold price data from HM Land Registry since 2020 to see where the highest and lowest-priced homes are located across Swansea postcodes.
It will come as no surprise to find Mumbles and Gower homes topped the most expensive list, with Langland Grove, Langland Court Road and Cambridge Close having some of the highest-valued homes across the region.
On Langland Grove (SA3), 4 properties sold for an average of £1,087,500. Langland Court Road (SA3), 3 properties sold for an average of £1,068,266. Also, Cambridge Close (SA3) saw 4 properties sell for an average of £947,525.

At the other end of the list, some of the cheapest residential properties included retirement complex Homegower House on St Helens Road and Castle Street in the city centre.
The large Homegower House complex, at the junction of St Helen’s Road and Brynymor Road, has four separate postal codes – which make up four of the five cheapest addresses in Swansea, with the cheapest being SA1 4DW which saw 9 properties sell for an average of £53,499. Homegower House was originally part of the Swansea General and Eye Hospital, founded in 1814. The old hospital closed in 1968, with the original building forming part of the retirement complex built in 1986.
Pembroke Buildings in the Maritime Quarter was the second cheapest in the city, where 8 properties sold for an average of £58,867.

Commenting on the data, Ruban Selvanayagam co-founder of Property Solvers, who are behind the research said: “To keep the data less skewed, we only ranked the streets that had over three sales.”
“It’s therefore worth noting that, in recent years, a property on Groves Avenue (SA3) sold for £2,470,000 and, at the other end of the market, there were properties that sold for £42,000 and under on Crymlyn Road (SA7), Bronwydd (SA7) and Trewyddfa Road (SA7),” he concludes.
