@rbreich As Australians, we need to take this report as a serious warning. The for-profit healthcare system in the US is a glaring example of how privatisation can lead to worse outcomes, higher costs, and inequity in care. Our Medicare system is something to be proud of, but we're at risk of heading down the same path of privatising our public hospitals and healthcare. Do we really want to follow a model where profits come before patients? We must protect and strengthen our public healthcare system, not give it away to offshore interests.
