Our #quic #multipath implementation is sooo close now. we're debugging some slow draining of connections and that's the last thing keeping us from merging to main. At this point it probably means we won't be having a release of it before the end of the year, which is a bit disappointing. But let's see.

Если вы когда-нибудь пытались построить стабильный VPN поверх реального Интернета, то знаете: ключевая проблема не в криптографии и даже не в пропускной способности канала. Проблема — в том, как протокол ведёт себя, когда сеть начинает «качать». Мы много лет экспериментировали с OpenVPN, WireGuard и разными вариациями UDP-туннелей. В хорошей сети → работают все. В плохой сети → перестают работать почти все. Поэтому когда в экосистеме QUIC появился MASQUE, мы решили проверить: а можно ли собрать VPN, который действительно переносит нестабильные условия? Оказалось, что можно.

quic-test: открытый инструмент для тестирования QUIC, BBRv3 и FEC в реальных условиях
Можно использовать iperf3, но он про TCP и базовый UDP. Можно взять отдельные QUIC-библиотеки, но без визуализации и нагрузки. Можно написать кастомные симуляторы, но они не отражают реального поведения каналов. Хочешь проверить, как BBRv3 ведет себя на трассе Москва — Новосибирск? Пожалуйста, найди три сервера в разных дата-центрах, настрой netem, собери метрики вручную и надейся, что результаты будут воспроизводимы.
