One of the most important & beloved bands of my life. My devotion to this incredible band is unwavering & eternal.

I’m on record for years in declaring that Manic Compression is just as good as Slip.
It’s a bit more focused & concise, so it’s a little less unhinged, but FUCK is it a monster.

This 30th Anniversary pressing by Iodine puts the reissue from a few years ago to absolute shame.
In sound, in the gatefold packaging, the artwork.
Proper justice has finally been served to this incredible album.

There’s even a version of it with a very expansive hardcover book, & you bet your ass that if I ever see THAT… I’m buying IT too.

The one band I always wish I could be a member of?

After having to head out for an extra appointment yesterday and encountering a lot more businesses (and a few roads!) with uncleared parking areas that had become deep, sticky slush I was reminded of the now-unfashionable film staple of deadly danger and unpredictable outcomes: #quicksand.

If there isn't already a word for this sort of deep, sucking slush that can easily trap vehicles, perhaps 'quickslush' is an appropriate descriptor? 🤔

Especially quicksand, Juggling With Eggs.
When I was kid, I tried to convince my parents to let me get a dog, with the argument that it could help me avoid perishing in quicksand.
In those days we didn't have cell phones, but we DID have Lassie and Run Tin Tin on teevee.
