Wow, I've just replaced the USB-C connector part from my partner's #Fairphone #FP4 (with a spare part sent for free!), because the phone stopped charging, and voilà, it works! I guess that if this happened to any other phone, it would have died permanently (or I would have had to replace the whole motherboard)! So, even if a Fairphone might be a bit more expensive than another similar phone, just the fact that I've been able to repair it by myself (just by watching one of their excellent tutorials) is as if I'd had cost half the price.
This should be he way to go with every piece of hardware: modular, repairable and with clear instruction manuals or tutorials for doing this. Thank you @Fairphone !

Google systematically blocks access to apps and functionalities for users running custom Android operating systems, affecting millions of tech-savvy users who modify their devices.

Why Users Choose Custom ROMs:
• Overcome programmed obsolescence when manufacturers stop updating
• Fix bugs in stock operating systems
• Personalize and customize their device's software
• Improve performance and privacy

Google's False Justification:
Google claims Play Integrity ensures "app security" by verifying unmodified app binaries on "genuine" Android devices. In reality, this is a tactic to:
• Maintain its mobile operating system monopoly
• Restrict user choice
• Convince developers to stay dependent on Play Store

Our Demand:
We call on European Union to consider investigating the monopolistic tactics, and ask Google to allow custom ROM users to:

• Use device capabilities fully
