In #1984, the Radio Times was the in-house listings magazine for the #BBC. Its covers were generally designed to be inoffensive to old ladies. The image of a traffic warden with a bloodied and bandaged face carrying a rifle was something of a departure.
According to one of the mini-docs (also on disc 2), this shocking cover image was to warn viewers what to expect if they watched the programme.
