#London Northwestern #Railway (LNR) engaged thousands of passengers during Rail Safety Week (16–22 June) to raise awareness about staying safe on the railway. Pop-up sessions at Milton Keynes Central and Watford Junction covered safeguarding, mental health, and accident prevention. LNR also addressed misogynistic behaviour on public transport, partnering with charity White Ribbon to encourage conversations on preventing violence against women and girls. Safety tips were shared with hundreds of schools, reminding thousands of students to stay behind the yellow line and avoid touching moving trains. Jonathan Hitching, LNR’s head of safety, said: “Fatalities still occur each year, which is why we’ve spoken to passengers about all aspects of rail safety. We’re grateful to everyone who joined the conversation.”

Is there some nice #foss alternative to #öffi/#offi for #android? It currently crashes when I search for a route and did not appear to get any updates recently. On #gnome I like to use #Railway/#diebahn (https://apps.gnome.org/en/DieBahn/) but I don't use #mainlinelinux with #phosh or #gnome on my dailydriver.
