Reiner Knizia's Abandon Ship is a very under-rated dice game. Plays up to 7 players (3-7 players) in about 30-60 minutes.
Lots of bluffing, push your luck and considerable luck-mitigation in this game that can be as strategic as you want it to be. Great for families with kids but can be enjoyed by anyone.

The box of my well used copy of the Ivanhoe #boardgame needed some more tape. After 15 years and well over 100 plays this #reinerknizia design still holds up for its clever card based gameplay. That box has seen things 😬
The cards have been resleeved and are like new. It’s always a good idea to include some spare card sleeves in case a sleeve splits during shuffles. I recently lost a score token so I was very glad to pick up some replacement tokens at last weekends @gmtgames #weekatthewarehouse

A better turnout and a wide variety of games played this week.
By request I taught the classic #ReinerKnizia #boardgame RA. I did terribly as the RA tokens always came out at the wrong time for my higher value auction tokens. Still a great game though.
Games played included: RA, Archer Love Letter, Trekking the National Parks, Space Base, Huang, Die Hard, Azul, The Gang, Ancient Knowledge, and Love Letter.
Most of the way through #ReinerKnizia #LordOfTheRings #BoardGame, and the little 2-Hobbit Fellowship has been ruthlessly beaten down in each scenario.
Already Frodo is half-way corrupted and Sauron is gaining ground. We've spent most of our Fellowship cards just trying to keep from losing, and still the Riders of Rohan slipped past our reach.
This is a wonderfully tense and balanced design, I haven't made it to the end of a game yet.

It's a great family friendly card playing - hand management - risk taking - card sequencing game. And is a great way to sharpen your, or your kids, quick mental arithmetic skills.

I played #ReinerKnizia's push-your-luck dice game, #ZombieMania with my kids.
The very simple mechanics have you rolling up to 8 dice & continuing as long as you can set aside one with a zombie. If you match grave stones & zombies of 3 types, you can move zombies from your player mat to a shared graveyard mat or to other player mats. The first to clear their mat of zombies wins.
Playing multiple rounds results in points for any zombies on player mats. Lowest score wins.

I found a copy of the #ReinerKnizia #BoardGame "Lost Cities" at the thrift store. (I know, it's really a #CardGame, but it has a board for the discards.) Took it over to the furniture section, and sat down on a couch to make sure all the cards were included.
As I began counting, the classic rock station started playing "867-5309."

5-player The Quacks of Quedlinburg #boardgame with the herb Witches expansion. We had an interesting mix of effects too. It was fun trying to get synergies with the tile effects.
Next were two game of Ivanhoe by #ReinerKnizia and #GMTGames
It's a great card game with bluffing, deception, and hand management.
Meanwhile the other tables played Heat, Lords of Vegas, Bora Bora and Illimat, and The Fox Experiment.

@Piloot We waren #Strozzi aan het spelen (een typisch #ReinerKnizia-bordspel: uiterst simpele spelregels die resulteren in een interessante speldynamiek) en zij dacht kreunend na over een keuze die ze moest maken die blijkbaar uitdagend was, welk geluid ook wel wat weg had van een bzzZzzzZzZZZzz'nde huisvlieg - dus de typering was niet eens zo slecht gevonden. 😄
