Prodotto dal 1989, adotta una filosofia avanzata per l’epoca: tutti i componenti sulla scheda madre e un case sofisticato. CPU Intel 80286 a 12 MHz, 1 MB di RAM gestita da chip Olivetti, hard disk da 30 MB, floppy da 3,5" da 1,44 MB.
Il sistema operativo è l'MS-DOS (ma può essere installato anche l'MS-OS/2) con l’emergente interfaccia grafica Windows 3.1.

Brevettato il Floppy Disk Drive da Dalziel, Nilson e Wartner.
Sviluppato da IBM nel 1967 per caricare microcodice sui System/370.
Il disco, progettato da David L. Noble, era da 8", 81.664 byte, 32 tracce.
Nel 1971 IBM lancia il drive 23FD (solo lettura).
Nel 1972 Memorex presenta il primo drive scrivente: modello 650.
Nel 1973 arriva il 33FD IBM.

Robert Noyce e Gordon Moore fondano Intel a Santa Clara.
Volevano chiamarla NM Electronics, ma il nome risultava già in uso, così scelsero Intel, da “Integrated Electronics”.
Sotto la guida di Andy Grove, l’azienda cresce rapidamente. Con l’Intel 4004 (1971) e l’8080 (1975), rivoluziona i microprocessori.
Il successo prosegue negli anni ’90 con il Pentium, rendendo Intel un gigante globale.

Ralph Baer dimostra la sua "Brown Box" a Fort Wayne (Indiana) ai dirigenti Magnavox. Il successo della presentazione convince l’azienda a sviluppare la console, che diventerà la Magnavox Odyssey: il primo sistema di videogiochi domestici, da cui nascerà l’intera industria videoludica.
Prima, Baer aveva mostrato il prototipo a vari produttori, tra cui RCA, con cui aveva firmato un accordo poi annullato nel marzo 1970.
