This is a pretty good read if you're into . Most everyone who had anything to do with the band is interviewed. Love the chapters about the early years when + were ambitious but kinda rootless and unfocused. Also some insights into the industry's transition from bloated 1970s arena rock to garish 1980s video rock. Ain't always pretty LOL! 🎡 🎢 πŸ“– πŸ‘ 😁

Since Yesterday reviewed on the 'pop panel' segment of BBC kids' TV show Saturday Superstore. The non musicians disparaged it but the musicians were approving. Delia Smith hated the 'doom & gloom', Midge Ure retorted 'I quite enjoy a bit of misery'!

The Cars

June 6, 1978 ~ The debut album from The Cars is released. Flawless songwriting from Ric Ocasek and the production of Roy Thomas Baker made this one of rock's all-time classics. Some (me) call it a "greatest hits" album ... it ranks at #284 on Rolling Stone's list of the 500 Greatest Albums of All Time. Listen to the debut album from The Cars on Amazon Music ...
