@scy@chaos.social That's true, and it is a good initiative. However, from a games' and gamers' perspective, the challenge the put forth is not ideal, and in most cases not doable.
Like those I mentioned, it's not possible to heal your enemy… and even if it is, who would do that in a game.
They want to challenge FPS gamers to do this and that, but FPS is not an RPG. In games like Guild Wars 2, we do have training dummies, and automatons. Those are the NPCs we kill to test our new build. But, again, it's RPG.
Hmm… I remembered a game made by legendary #RichardGarriott called #TabulaRasa. It is a third-person shooter set in an RPG world.
In that game, while it is all about shooting like any other shooter games, because of the RPG elements in it, we role-played based on the story. We did not shoot innocent NPCs. We did not blow up buildings even though we can. And yes, we did heal an enemy.
All because the game mechanics allow it, and the story is about humanity.
