India News: भारत में सड़क हादसों को कम करने के लिए सरकार ने बड़ा कदम उठाया है। सड़क परिवहन और राजमार्ग मंत्रालय ने ऐलान किया है कि जनवरी 2026 से देश में बिकने वाले सभी नए दोपहिया वाहनों में रोड सेफ्टी के लिए एंटी-लॉक ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम (ABS) अनिवार्य होगा। इसके साथ ही, हर नए दोपहिया वाहन के साथ दो BIS प्रमाणित हेलमेट देना भी जरूरी होगा। यह कदम दोपहिया वाहन चालकों की सुरक्षा को और मजबूत करने की दिशा में उठाया गया है।
ABS: सड़क पर सुरक्षा का नया कदम
एंटी-लॉक ब्रेकिंग सिस्टम (ABS) एक ऐसा सेफ्टी फीचर है, जो अचानक ब्रेक लगाने पर टायर को लॉक होने से रोकता है। इससे वाहन का संतुलन बना रहता है और फिसलने का खतरा कम होता है। अभी तक केवल 125 सीसी से अधिक इंजन क्षमता वाले दोपहिया वाहनों में ABS अनिवार्य था। लेकिन नया नियम सभी स्कूटर और मोटरसाइकिलों पर लागू होगा, चाहे उनकी इंजन क्षमता कुछ भी हो। विशेषज्ञों का मानना है कि यह कदम रोड सेफ्टी को बेहतर बनाने में अहम भूमिका निभाएगा, क्योंकि अध्ययनों के अनुसार ABS हादसों की संभावना को 35-45% तक कम कर सकता है।
दो हेलमेट का नियम

ABS कैसे काम करता है?

Here's a cycling heatmap. Green is a popular and good rail trail, that however doesn't go into town. To get into town, you have to stay on the highway (red), whatever your mode of transportation is. Yellow is a 60km/h road with no shoulder and an occasional sidewalk.
