So, it's a Roger Corman film which means there are certain things we can expect, with cheap and reusing stock or other footage extensively being the main ones. That said, his earlier films often had some good ideas, good philosophies, and good politics buried in there, and this looks like it might hold to that already with the teenage (ahem) Robert Vaughn questioning his caveman life.

Decades after UNCLE, McCallum became a regular in the series #NCIS.

Just started watching The Man From U.N.C.L.E. (1964) with my 15yo.

Illya’s adorable. Yes, I know that David McCallum’s adorable as Ducky (at 89, no less!). But really, seriously?

“Forget I’m here. Just, uh, part of the furniture.”

Illya Kuryakin is the cutest chair ever. I’ll also take Napoleon Solo for a sofa. What a lovely, coordinating pair!

#Hunter s5e13 (1989) - 9/10

1️⃣ This 5th season has had a couple of dud episodes. Most have been good. This 3-parter has been the best thing so far.

2️⃣ Surprisingly, the #CharlesHallahan-#RobertVaughn storyline is the most satisfying. Charlie really comes into his own, digging deep to find a way to get rid of the Deputy Chief.

3️⃣ The other storylines - one for Hunter, one for McCall - aren’t quite as satisfying because they reach very predictable conclusions. Still good however.

1️⃣ Second part of this multi-episode arc is even better than the first. The various storylines really come into their own here. There are many different characters; many different villains. The two psycho killers take a backseat here. Instead, there’s plenty of focus on the aggressive/unscrupulous Deputy Chief of Police played by #RobertVaughn. He is great in the role.

1️⃣ Smart teleplay by #JoeMenosky, for #StephenJCannell Productions, has multiple storylines in the spotlight.

2️⃣ #CecVerrell is simply excellent as an escaped psycho killer. Meanwhile, #JamesBSikking leads an aggressive vigilante group. Finally, #RobertVaughn sends #StepfanieKramer undercover in a crime-ridden high school.

3️⃣ The tone is grim/realistic. Action/violence is often kept offscreen. A picture is painted of an entire city under siege from different factions.
