This is from #Rorty. I have to say, I do not grasp the basis for defining the specific term "historicism" in this way. It seems rather to beg the question.

Richard Rorty once described philosophy as the “Coversation of Mankind”, borrowing the phrase from Michael Oakeshott.
Well that would be cool I guess; except the working class don’t get to talk most of the time.
