The poster shows a huge ominous red eye on a mass orb hover in the sky. The Logo for Palantir is in its pupil. It shoots out a dreadful red beam of data collection through the parting clouds towards the NHS logo which is shielded by a yellow umbrella. You are the umbrella. In the red beam it says, Palantir wants your health data.
On the umbrella it says protect the NHS with NHS implied by its logo under it.

Did you know Rotherham ranks Bottom 50% for youth services spending across England and Wales?

Youth provision shouldn’t be a postcode lottery. See what’s happening in your community with YMCA’s interactive map 👇 campaigns.ymca.org.uk/page/184

𝘓𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘳 run council has been accused of embracing "𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘨 𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘳𝘰𝘳" after saying they'll offer £𝟱𝟬𝟬 grants to groups putting up union jack and St George’s flags in the town - a place previously rocked by racial tension!

“It’s national and anti-humanity rhetoric” she said,
adding that the flags erected across the town in an
apparently spontaneous show of patriotism were not
removed, “no matter how much terror they sparked
in racialised communities”.

"I'm sorry that you are scared but fuck you" - a White Man in power

Read has previously acknowledged that some
communities were “scared” by the hundreds of
national flags erected from lamp-posts across the
town and told councillors last month that he was
“very concerned” by far-right influencers spreading
division in Rotherham.

The same CF Booth who almost cost Rotherham United to be fined for not playing football matches in their home town after the Millmoor football ground was snatched from under them?

What saddens me the most is that the family are probably going to come out of this ok whilst 114 people are now redundant. Ken Booth's kids did not care for the business and none of them seemed interested in it.

M18 is all to shit then.

There's a lorry stopped in lane 1 - not sure why.

southyorkshire-ca.gov.uk/news/

Absolutely wonderful news.

The comments from the hard of thinking on the Facebook share, on the other hand, make me shudder for the future.

What we have is a huge investment both in rail and tram infrastructure throughout South Yorkshire improving reliability, speeds, increasing electrification and providing an additional station for Rotherham where two lines come together (the obvious location for a railway interchange - see photo).

So what do those with the mental capacity of a hotdog sausage think?

🔸The station is in the wrong place. It should be in the town centre" (see stations : Rotherham station)
🔸 We've already got Masborough Station (which closed in 1987 when Rotherham Central opened)
🔸 The trams hardly get used (try finding a seat during rush hour on a tram, or when there's an event on at the arena, or even when there's a football match on)

It's the typical scenario with the UK to be honest. An improvement to a service is announced and all the people who never use the service chime in about what is there already is absolutely fine (despite them never using it) and how we should spend the money on the roads. Always roads.

Oh and keeping small boats out.

Make sure you stick a 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🏴󠁧󠁢󠁥󠁮󠁧󠁿🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧 at the end, just so we can all remember what our flags look like.

A screen shot from Google maps showing a map of the Greasbrough Road area of Rotherham and the location of the new Rotherham Gateway railway station. It is naturally at the convergence of two separate railway lines thus being a perfect location for an interchange.

Rotherham's 15th Century chantry bridge from above.

People often don't realise that the original position of the river has now been moved by development such that the chantry now sits high and dry and water no longer regularly runs under the arches of it's medieval bridge.

Rotherham is often the butt of many jokes, but actually it's got some amazing medieval architecture.

#Rotherham #chantrybridge #medieval #fifteenthcentury

An aerial photo taken from my drone showing the chapel on the bridge in Rotherham and highlighting that the river no longer flows under the bridge due to straightening, realignment and the building of the canals.
