Cleopatra Feelin' Jazzy is a jazz album recorded in 1963 by Paul Gonsalves.
Review by Stephen Cook
...Cleopatra -- Feelin' Jazzy finds the famed Ellington soloist in the prime company of hard boppers like pianist Hank Jones, organist Dick Hyman, guitarist Kenny Burrell, bassist George Duvivier, and drummer Roy Haynes. The band shines throughout, with Hyman's organ adding exotic film theater ambience on the two North cuts that kick off the album.. Switching over to more straightforward fare, Gonsalves and company stretch out on Burrell's "Bluz for Liz" (read Elizabeth Taylor, one of the leads in the movie) and Ellington's "Action in Alexandria."..Gonsalves impresses with both complexly swinging solos and breathy ballad statements. A very fine effort by one of the unsung giants of jazz.

Jazz De Chambre by Buddy Banks, released on Le Club Français Du Disque
Pretty hip stuff -- recorded in Paris, but featuring some leading lights of American bohemia! ..features work by a quartet led by bassist Buddy Banks, and featuring work by American players Bob Dorough on piano and Roy Haynes on drums, as well as the French musician Jimmy Gourley on guitar. Gourley's tone is excellent on the session, and he really dominates the proceedings over piano work by Dorough -- especially on the tracks "I Love You", "Line For Lyons", "Night In Tunisia", and "Buddy Bank's Blues". - Dusty Groove

Duster is an album by vibraphonist Gary Burton that was recorded in 1967 and released by RCA. It features Burton with electric guitarist Larry Coryell, bassist Steve Swallow and legendary drummer Roy Haynes.
Duster is considered one of the first jazz fusion albums. It peaked at number 15 on Billboard magazine's Top Jazz Albums.
The Allmusic review by Scott Yanow described it as "one of the first fusion records", also stating: "Although Burton's basic sound had not changed from the previous year, his openness toward other styles made his Quartet one of the most significant jazz groups of the period" - Wikipedia

It's Time! is an album recorded by a group led by American saxophonist Jackie McLean recorded in 1964 and released on the Blue Note label.
It's Time! Review by Thom Jurek
...The music was written entirely by either Tolliver or McLean and walks the line between modal post-bop and free jazz. It came hot on the heels of McLean's first forays into these waters on 1963's One Step Beyond and Destination Out!. There is more to it than that, of course; chordal improvisation still plays a large part in the music on this fine record. Hancock's solo on the opening "Cancellation" is the most angular thing here, and the tempo is simply breathtaking...

Nocturne is an album by American saxophonist Oliver Nelson and vibraphonist Lem Winchester. It was originally released in 1961 by Prestige Records, as part of their "Moodsville Series". As the title implies, Nocturne is a collection of mellow songs with relaxed, late-night feeling. - Wikipedia

The Blues and the Abstract Truth is an album by American composer and jazz saxophonist Oliver Nelson recorded in February 1961 for the Impulse! label. It remains Nelson's most acclaimed album and features a lineup of notable musicians: Freddie Hubbard, Eric Dolphy (his second-to-last appearance on a Nelson album following a series of collaborations recorded for Prestige), Bill Evans (his only appearance with Nelson), Paul Chambers and Roy Haynes. Baritone saxophonist George Barrow does not take solos but remains a key feature in the subtle voicings of Nelson's arrangements...
Among the pieces on the album, "Stolen Moments" is the best known and has become a jazz standard: a 16-bar piece with solos in a conventional 12-bar minor blues structure in C minor...
The Jazz Journal International cited the album as "one of the essential post-bop recordings." - Wikipedia

Soul Battle is an album by American saxophonists Oliver Nelson, King Curtis and Jimmy Forrest. Recorded in 1960 and originally released by the Prestige label in 1962.. - Wikipedia
Soul Battle Review by Scott Yanow
This intriguing session matches three powerful tenor players: Oliver Nelson, King Curtis (in a rare jazz outing), and Jimmy Forrest. With fine backup work by pianist Gene Casey, bassist George Duvivier, and drummer Roy Haynes, the tenors battle to a draw on a set of blues and basic material (including a fine version of "Perdido"). Easily recommended to fans of big-toned tenors and straight-ahead swinging.

Black Fire is a studio album by American jazz pianist and composer Andrew Hill, released on Blue Note Records in 1964. It was Hill's debut for the label. Initially, drummer Philly Joe Jones was scheduled to play on the album, but was replaced by Roy Haynes after scheduling issues. The rest of the band consists of tenor saxophonist Joe Henderson and bassist Richard Davis. The Allmusic review by Stephen Thomas Erlewine calls the album "an impressive statement of purpose that retains much of its power decades after its initial release... a modern jazz classic." - Wikipedia
