Let’s set aside the fact that anybody who’s seen the video knows that’s bullshit.

Even if the #ICE shooter had been scared — well, suck it up, buttercup: that’s part of the job of a law enforcement officer. You will occasionally experience fear.

In the military, those who find themselves in battle are deeply afraid. But they step up anyway, in the belief that their own lives are worth sacrificing in order to protect America and Americans. They are called to serve.

These ICE thugs believe nothing of the sort. They’re not here to protect; to the contrary, and in contrast to the military, they will trample our rights, abduct our neighbors, and gun down anybody with the courage to stand up to them. “Sacrifice” and “service” are not words they understand, much less live by.
