A #SJSU law school would be fantastic, California is effectively a victim of its own success that all the UC law schools are very good and therefore super competitive and expensive. A lower tier public law school would be pretty exciting.

Journalist Frankie de la Cretaz on #Skermetti, the #SJSU women's volleyball team, and #transgender athletes:
"One of the ways the anti-trans sports push has been so effective has been by framing “fairness” around what is perceived to be fair to cis athletes, rather than by what is fair for the most marginalized athletes in the room: trans women and girls."
An essential reframing that puts #trans folks as people first, and only then as people who want to play sports.
Some really excellent critiques of #journalism, particularly comparing the #NYTimes and #ESPN in their coverage of the furor around a San Jose State volleyball player (who may or may not be trans, but who is definitely a woman).

The player in question is in her third year with the team. Somehow nobody complained until recently.
