Atmospheric lighting at the Blackrock bathing shelter this evening. #Salthill #Galway

Photo of a concrete bathing shelter painted yellow with red columns. A line of fairy lights under the canopy casts a soft light onto the wall and the wet concrete floor. The diving tower can be seen dimly in the distance on the left.

Has a great night at @blindboyboatclub in #Leisureland in #Salthill. Beautifully unhinged, and good craic. Took my mind of the US government imploding!

The sunrise this morning in Salthill was absolutely breathtaking 🫶🫰🤟

A sunrise over the sea. The sky is various hues of orange and blue. The surface of the water is peppered with waves and sea foam.

🎵Salt air, and the rust on your… anchor?

#ireland #galway #SaltHill
A rusty anchor sat on the ground surrounded by rocks and pebbles. The sky is cloudy. In the background, a city that is out of focus.

Always knew these junctions were massively wide in Salthill, it wasn't until some dope came flying around the Dalysfort junction one last night while crossing the road it makes you appreciate just how ridiculously wide they are and really need tightening

Look before you leap

The famous diving area in Salthill, Galway, in 2011. This may have been the last time I was in Salthill. We drove through the city in 2018 on the way to Connemara, but I think it’s overdue a visit.

A yellow diving platform or swimming structure extends into choppy grey waters on an overcast day. The platform features blue railings, safety warning signs, and multiple levels accessible by metal stairs. A lone swimmer can be seen in the water near the platform. The scene is set against a backdrop of distant hills or cliffs shrouded in mist, and rocky shoreline is visible in the foreground.

[17:08] Former US astronaut visits Galway as part of Space Week

The link between Earth's oceans and the ongoing search for life beyond our planet is one of the themes being explored as part of Space Week. Former US astronaut Steve Swanson visited Galway's Atlantaquaria in Salthill to kickstart his national road trip.

#Galway might be known for its lack of cycling infrastructure but its walking infrastructure is beyond compare!

Emma Gilleece looks at the architecture of the #Salthill Prom and how a streamlined modernist aesthetic is adapted for the climatic and social context of the west of Ireland

With its abundant seating, shelter, public toilets and integration with the landscape, it can tell us a lot about how we should be building public infrastructure today

Dear people of , this weekend there will be an Tóstal festival in . Please come to see the traditional currach racing and the parade of our beauties, the Galway Hookers. If you participate in , you'll also be able to see the Hookers sailing into the sunrise in support of the cause.

Please see the schedule (it seems like tiny traders market was canceled, but everything is according to the plan.)

FFS! Selfish, selfish, selfish!
Yes, they are choosing to put their lives in danger for ‘kicks’ BUT if they get into difficulty they will also put the lives of the emergency services in danger & it is disgusting & unacceptable. 🤬🤬🤬
