SUICIDE OF TWO CONDEMNED JEW TERRORISTS JERUSALEM It is officially stated that the two Jewish condemned terrorists, Meyer Feinstein and Moshe Barazani, who were to have been executed before dawn to-day, committed suicide in Jerusalem central prison to-night by blowing themselves to pieces. … the two men blew themselves up shortly before midnight after defying their guards, (correspondent) adds that Rabbi Jacob Goldman, Jewish chaplain to the Palestine prisons, who visited the men earlier in the evening, was immediately taken to police head quarters. The British United Press representative states that Feinstein and Barazani are reported to have in scribed the Biblical words, "Mene, Mene, Tekel Uphaisin" on the walls of their cells before killing themselves. The words quoted are mentioned In the Book of Daniel, chapter 5. verse 25. Feinstein and Barazani had appealed to the High Commissioner (General Sir Alan Cunningham) for clemency after their parents had visited them to-day, Feinstein was sentenced for taking part in a bomb outrage at Jerusalem railway station in October, 1946, and Barazani for carrying a hand grenade In March, 1947.

The United States has vetoed a United Nations Security Council demand for an "immediate, unconditional and permanent ceasefire" between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip and unhindered aid access across the enclave.
