The truth is that the West bears responsibility for enabling Russia in Ukraine. In the UK this has taken the form of the Tory party accepting ‘donations’ from Russians, lax controls over UK sourced or assembled materiel and a failure to wean ourselves off fossil fuels. Other European countries have acted as badly.
