"Turkish-farmed sea bass and sea bream is being fed on fishmeal exported from three factories in Senegal ... The women who work locally must keep their prices affordable for their customers and say they cannot compete on price with the factories, forcing increasing numbers of them out of work.
The data led us from these factories, via Turkey’s sea bass and sea bream farms, to Billingsgate fish market in London and the fish counters of supermarkets across the UK. Here, fish grown by farms that have used Senegalese fishmeal are labelled “responsibly” sourced or farmed, based on certification from the Aquaculture Stewardship Council (ASC) and other standards bodies."

A brown meagre (Sciaena umbra), looking blue-purple in this picture, is headed towards a hole on the rocks, in front of an orange sponge.

A striped seabream (Lithognathus mormyrus) is eating something from the sand, making a little cloud around its mouth. It is surrounded by two-banded seabreams (Diplodus vulgaris) and a single rainbow wrasse (Coris julis).

A swarm of unidentified small fish (possibly sardines), swimming downwards next to a rock, with the same slope as the rock.

Two painted combers (Serranus scriba) that look like they are kissing on the mouth - they were in fact fighting. They are surrounded by black damselfish (Chromis chromis) and a single dreamfish (Sarpa salpa), in front of a scenery with sand, small rocks, and yellow sponges.
