As usual I can not remember how I have done it. BUT:

I am in #EasyOS Linux, updated to the latest version and running the #Seamonkey #Browser.
I am of course running as root miss user. We old #Puppy Users HATE passwords.

We are so naughty...

I am also using two monitors, booting from a USB keydrive and feeling Super smug with myself (don't worry I will not be installing BSD variants - I am not that smug) 😉

И во многих отношениях ставших вахтёром не пускающим в интернеты «неправильные» веб-браузеры.

За последние десять лет к #Cloudflare накопилось множество претензий по тому, каким образом работает в техническом плане. И насколько является открытой и лживой по тому, чтобы признавать имеющиеся проблемы. Насколько это важно для интернетов? Оценочно, примерно 20% всего интернет-трафика проходит непосредственно через инфраструктуру Cloudflare.

Если пакет подключённых услуг включает Web Application Firewall #WAF, то проблем с доступом к защищённому веб-сайту\онлайн-сервисам не возникает лишь у тех, кто пользуется за Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, Apple Safari и Microsoft Edge, но далеко не всех версий, а лишь актуальных.

Когда у пользователя #Firefox 115 ESR, появившийся в ноябре 2024 г., то у него уже будет проблемы с доступом — хотя Cloudflare и отрицает, что её ML-система блокирует работу с такими браузерами.
Так же Cloudflare, весьма часто не хочет работать с #PaleMoon, #SeaMonkey, #IceCat, #Basilisk, #Falkon. Т.е. за бортом остаются браузеры сделанные на #Goanna — это хорошо известный форк мозиловского движка #Gecko. Или на том же QtWebKit ставшим уже Qt #WebEngine.

Хочешь зайти на сайты использующие Cloudflare — будь готов подделывать User agent, это сегодня, а завтра ещё что-нибудь. При этом официально компания хоть как-то реагировать и шевелиться на подобные проблемы начинает лишь после серьёзной шумихе и волне в СМИ.
Да 20% мирового интернет-трафика не означает 20% всех сайтов или веб-сервисов в интернете, но это такие сервисы как научный журнал Science или тот же Steam (игровая платформа).

Когда рынок сходит с ума, то всем или терпеть и работать закусив удила, всячески уповая на «само пройдёт» или нужен госрегулятор в качестве арбитра для оценки расклада и установки правил. Как в секторе ценных бумаг и биржевых торгов или в плане соблюдения антимонопольных и антитрастовых норм теории игр.

I really miss using #Seamonkey browser. It looked like classic Netscape Navigator suite. It just couldn't keep up with the advancements in Gecko. Last time I checked, it didn't support a number of extensions I use regularly, like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger. It felt more like a relic of bygone days of the internet.

I was browsing around and Seamonkey still exists, still releasing new versions? So cool. This is a continuation of the Mozilla Suite and Netscape Communicator before that, back when it was more common to have a software collection with web browser, email & news, html composer all in one.

Looking into new browsers after this Mozilla announcement. Seems to me anything Chromium-based is out, of course. I've heard of Libre Wolf and Pale Moon, and I've actually used SeaMonkey some.

Any suggestions or pros and cons for the options I have listed? I don't feel like my requirements are too crazy:

Must respect privacy and allow me to retain ownership of my data (duh)
Must support uBlock Origin
Lightweight preferred (ie, simpler is better)
Ideally available on Linux (Debian-flavored) and Android

I'd like to get a couple potentials lined up and try them out over the weekend.
