I remember this. I wasn't born yet when it first aired, but I saw it in syndication.
I remember it felt so empowering as a little kid to hear those words. It made a real impression on me. It was one of my first experiences of hearing what strong autonomy sounded like, and that kids were just as valuable as anyone.
