Would you say that a political commentator should strive to be neutral or that, rather, chiefly op'ed pieces tend to be the norm.
You recently posted that you aren't a #journalist. If so, which journalist can ever be neutral?
If I remember correctly, #SethAbramson says about himself that he does "curated journalism." The many tweets of his I read (PROOF) were more analytical and mostly op'ed in nature.

You might be on to something.
However, it might have also just been a way for paying him a severance benefit.
As long as it is not paid from dark money and if he paid taxes on it, I see no initial harm.
