You see white and purple egg capsules, which are vase-shaped and are clustered together in irregular rows and firmly attached to the substrate. They contain several eggs per capsule. They have a so-called “escape hatch” which is situated centrally on top of the egg capsule - which are visible.

The hoof shaped are a feature of the family.

On the right top you see few snails - Gyrineums -- they are just on the same rock at low tide, and their egg cells look very different.

sets of anemones, which have dark banded tentacles. central oral disk is light in color, you can see a circle with a hole in centre, and then small circles (bright color) around this small circle. the collar (i think) is peach in color. - they are stuck on rocks and sands. some texture can be seen.

the left half has a group of them clustered together in a lower level - slightly out of focus.

the tentacles are translucent white -- the central disk has small white ovals in concentric circles. - on top there's also a shell that is visible.

the left is a carpet of algae attached to the rock.

the central disk is blue in color and the tentacles are lighter in color, and banded.

could be a different genus (streaked sand anemone)

the central disk is more opaque, light lemon color.

it is surrounded by a lot of small anemones.

The #ShoreWalk on 30th morning was amazing, got to see so many marine flora and fauna early morning - it was totally worth waking up at 2:30 am to reach the beach by 6:30 am.

some of Mumbai's sandy shoreline are littered, but fascinatingly a lot of this garbage has started becoming part of the tubes that shell-binding worms (aka decorator worms) as they decorate using anything plastic - rather than shells they find. #MarineLife #ShoreWalk #Photography 🦑🌿🖌️🧪

you see a mass of plastic garbage with few thread like structures, that shell binding worms (sea worms) build.

the worms secrete a parchment like tube, and then decorate these from the outside with solids they collect. the tubes run deep and are very long.

there is a rust color shell in the middle and some purple striation. the soft foot (muscle of the mollusc) can be seen all around, the lower part, seems to have the foot retracted, but another small pink mass showing (this part is zoomed and shared in next photograph)

close up of the extra pink mass, it is tear drop shaped, and has two small pink bumps on it, below and next to it are white dots, which are possibly egg cells.

(not sure if they are limpet eggcells. so if a gastropod/limpet scientist ever sees this post, maybe they can confirm)

a macro photograph, you can see soft polyps on the hydrozoa (plant like branch structure, but an animal) on the left bottom you see a gastropod with its syphon protruding out from shell.

First time seeing these Elysia sea slugs - during an Intertidal zone #ShoreWalk in Mumbai.

Used a 55mm Nikkor macro lens to photograph them.

the main focus is the asian green mussel with varying shades of blue and green, lodged between two rocks and snails all around it. you can see about 4-5 species of snails distinctly. there are also tubular worms attached to the stone (white color tube like shapes on the stone)

2 different types of tubular egg cell clusters can be seen in this photograph. 1 of them are long and bent, and the second set is short tube like and pink in color.

there are a lot of hermit crabs, i'm not sure what is happening tbh.

they have housed themselves in different designed species of snail shells.
