Nation’s largest fleet of police #Cybertrucks to patrol #LasVegas

LAS VEGAS (AP) — "The nation’s largest police fleet of #TeslaCybertrucks is set to begin patrolling the streets of Las Vegas in November thanks to a donation from a U.S. tech billionaire, raising concerns about the blurring of lines between public and private interests.

“ 'Welcome to the future of policing,' Clark County Sheriff #KevinMcMahill said during a recent press conference, surrounded by the Cybertrucks while #drones hovered overhead and a police helicopter circled above him.

"The fleet of 10 black-and-white Cybertrucks of the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department with flashing lights and sirens are wrapped with the police department’s logo. About 400 officers have been trained to operate the trucks that will use public charging stations.

"The all-electric vehicles are equipped with #shotguns, #shields and #ladders and additional battery capacity to better handle the demands of a police department, McMahill said.

"The donation has raised concerns from government oversight experts about private donors’ influence on public departments and the boost to the Tesla brand. The department is the latest U.S. city to turn to Tesla models even as Elon Musk ’s electric vehicle company has faced blowback because of his work earlier in the year to advance the president’s political agenda and downsize the federal government."

NO #SecondAmendment issues here — NONE — even though no amendment gives anyone absolute unfettered rights anyway!

These export restrictions have got to hurt the #NRA more than any domestic background checks or registration requirements, especially if the export pause is extended for any prolonged period of time.

Really liking this "Sniper" light and green laser combo I got from amazon. Rock solid. The KSG has worked with both 3" and short shells and I really like it having what is closer to a decent ammo capacity. It's not as light or nimble as a handgun and the recoil is far from the light bump of an AR, but there is little in small arms that comes close to the destructive power of 12 guage.
