The image depicts a historical photograph in sepia tone, showing the "Mosque of Omar" also known as "Dome of the Rock" located in Jerusalem. The structure is an expansive domed building with intricate geometric patterns and Arabic inscriptions adorning its facade. It features multiple arched entrances and large windows that allow light to filter into the interior.

In front of the mosque, there appears to be a wide open courtyard paved with stones or bricks. A smaller secondary entrance can also be observed on one side. The photograph is labeled at the bottom as "373 Mosque of Omar," indicating its catalog number within a collection likely held by an archive like that mentioned in American Colony (Jerusalem).

“I have discovered that parks help fill a void for me,” writes Meagan Fischer, “of finding community in my devotion to the web of life. After years of frantic activism, I am learning to care for myself for the long haul, to surround myself with beauty.”

The shrine containing the relics of Blessed Gezelinus of Schlebusch (12th century) in the parish church of St. Andreas in Leverkusen-Schlebusch. Gezelinus enjoyed regional veneration. According to legend, one of his miracles was to have created a spring by thrusting his crook into the ground and saying a prayer when asked to do so by people during a long period of drought. Many people still fetch water in large containers from the Gezelin spring, which is said to have healing properties.

In 1245, an emperor gave five families in the small town of Kotohira the exclusive rights to make a yuzu-flavored candy. Today, one family wants its sweet treats to serve as “little ambassadors” for the rural community. japantimes.co.jp/life/2025/06/
