Seit 2015 nimmt diese im Schnitt zu, und zwar an beiden Polen gleichzeitig. Das ist meines Wissens der erste Beleg, dass die Polarisierung der Stimmenden auch bei Abstimmungen erfolgreicher wird.
RotGrüne Parteien (bei Wahlen zirka 30%) können seit 2000 bei Volksabstimmungen, wo sie gegen alle antreten, auf eine wachsende Unterstützung zählen. Die ist bei einem Nein („Referenden“) größer als bei einem Ja (meist VI). Aktuell erreicht die Nein-Opposition den kritischen Wert von 50%. Rotgrün erreicht damit die Schwelle der Referendumsfähigkeit im umfassenden Sinne.
