I dunno – maybe something silly will see you right … hope you have a chuckle, anyway.
There we were at the allotment, pulling up the dead pea plants, when I backed into a large thistle and gave a loud yelp. My wife, laughing loudly, then recited a verse remembered from her rural Northern Ireland childhood:
Upon a thistle he sat doon
And jumped up nearly to the moon
Great that we can still make eachother laugh after knowing eachother for over 50 years!
