Se ha planteado para #Fedora 44 eliminar de manera definitiva y completa el soporte para x86 de 32-bit, lo que resulta en otro paso más para establecer a #Silverblue y #Kinoite como las ediciones de referencia del proyecto frente a los actuales escritorios mutables.

Did anyone have success setting up virtual webcam with v4l2loopback on #fedora #silverblue and #obs from #flatpak? I installed the akmod and utils for v4l2loopback and load it using `options v4l2loopback devices=1 video_nr=0 card_label="OBS Virtual Camera" exclusive_caps=1` and while the virtual webcam button is showing up, I get "Failed to start streaming on '/dev/video0' (Invalid argument)". Help would be greatly appreciated :)
Just had to install Windows 11 for a colleague and I HATE it. oobe\bypassnro does not work anymore. Afterwards I had to go install #fedora #silverblue in a VM, just to recalibrate how things could be -_-
Some things I find frustrating with my new #thinkpad X1C G12 and #fedora 42 (#silverblue #bluefin)
#1 > Camera doesn't work. I applied some akmod packages but it's still not working
#2 > Resolution differences between my 4k monitor and the laptop display causes window rendering issues for apps like Telegram, Slack & Obsidian (I've to reopen apps when I switch between monitors)
#3 > Having issues with solaar losing track of my BLE devices (restarting solaar fixes it)
Hmmm trying to do an install of Fedora @fedora #Silverblue 42 on a new machine and the ISO on a USB stick won't boot. No obvious messages - it just puts me back after about a second to the laptop's "What do you want to boot from" menu. Media seems ok as I can point kvm at it from the currently running system ...

Updated my (VM) Fedora SilverBlue last night. Blimey! Four reboots later, and I'm on 42. Nice touch with the wallpaper, spot the poorly hidden message.

3 months ago I did these tests of Linux distros (silver blue, bluefin, zorin, mint), because I planned to migrate my mother's Surface Go to Linux because of Work news 10 end of life.
The migration to #fedora #silverblue was done last week, and so far no real complaints.
Also migrated the web browser from Google Chrome to #vivaldibrowser .

Libreoffice works fine, onlyoffice don't which is no problem per se there are online alternatives.

Trivalent as a browser like Vanadium is very interesting. Sad tho that Librewolf doesn't work. I know I could probably run some software as ostree or something but I would rather not.

Ok yt-dlp, lynis, htop, vim, chkrootkit, rkhunter, mat2(hangs though) can be installed via #brew #linuxbrew it's sad that dangerzone is missing there mhh… only for macos as a cask.

Btw, one can also install any Fedora Silverblue with a Secure Boot-compatible Ventoy stick and then, after installation, run the Secure Blue optimizations. Works like a charm! Now I have to figure out how everything else works. 🤣

Portable device with Secure Boot, Secure Blue, LUKS2—everything up to date. Atomic updates, GNOME Wayland, USBGuard, and everything works on an immutable Fedora base system. Everything else is either Flatpaks, Podman, brew or something similar. 🤩 What else could one want to have from a security and privacy perspective?

Además de trabajar, ando buscando un nuevo trabajo (llevo 16 años en la misma empresa, y creo que es momento de cerrar esta etapa laboral...) y, muy poco a poco, sigo avanzando con el libro.
Por supuesto, desde Debian (no tengo remedio... Fedora Silverblue me pareció espectacular, pero siempre termino volviendo a Debian...).
