#SixOnSaturday

2025-11-22

Spent the afternoon in the garden, enjoying the frost and sunshine, raking leaves and getting the container plants secured for winter. Managed to get a lot done, that's a great feeling.
Got some pictures for #SixOnSaturday as well.

Auch heute gibt es die #SixOnSaturday Bilder am regnerischen Sonntag.
Es ist immernoch mild und es blüht tatsächlich noch so einiges.

Todays pictures for #SixOnSaturday are like last week taken on Sunday morning in the rain.
It's quite mild for the season, so there are still some flowers to be found.

There will be some garden visits and looks at other's garden for my #SixOnSaturday for a while This week's Six come from the stunning #ButchartGardens on Canada's Vancouver Island

and more on the blog:

Six views of the Butchart Gardens, near Victoria, Vancouver Island. Larger image is at top left, shows a view from above, down into the quarry garden. There are green lawns, flower borders still full of stunning summer colour, trees showing autumn golds and reds. One of the most stunning views of a garden in the world. Going round the clock from there, top right shows a reflecting pond -- longways view, looking along length of the pond, in the Italian garden, with red and silver planting around the edges. Middle right: dark trunk and branches, gold glow of acer leaves as I look through the tree towards the sky. Lower right: another view of the Japanese garden, contrasting trees with green leaves against some with red (almost purple). Lower middle: favourite flower in the garden, it looks like a little lantern, spherical, with yellow and red lattice pattern. Lower left: a really classic bight red acer or maple......WOW, stunning red colour.
