Five go in search of bioluminescence on Lough Hyne. Conditions were perfect for a night kayak.

After I shared photos of library in Madison, WI, very kind Mastodon Irish person (@psneeze) sent me amazing look (VR!!) at a small Irish library that I plan to see one day. I prepared my cousins and sister for "stop the car" or "I need to pop out"...#skibbereen librarian was super friendly, had a great display for LGBTQ stuff, etc.

When Storm Agnes hits #WestCork tomorrow it will be a great consolation that it is named after a #Skibbereen born astronomer who has a crater on the moon named after her.
A self-taught Irish astronomy writer, Agnes Mary Clerke contributed significantly to the popular astronomy literature of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
