Today's assignment: getting the LollaMac stall set up for the Artisan Made UK trade fair this weekend. When we arrived, this was an empty pen in Skipton Auction Mart; I think we've done a decent job of that.

Woke up to blue skies for the first time in a week. I was warned by the man who made my breakfast (who was very friendly but apparently a realist) that the coming days are expected to be overcast, so I should enjoy the weather while it lasted.

They have a hound menu in addition to their human ones, and little dog friendly touches all around the cafe like loops to attach leads to & mats for them to rest on.

I have to take husband to the station for a 5.28 train in the morning. So off to bed and results should be rolling in then. We are in a rural area of farming and tourism and it's usually very #Tory. Skipton and Ripon is geographically below #Rishi in #Richmond and very similar demographics. Our current MP Julian Smith had a majority of 24,000 last time. However, I have only seen 2 Tory posters in this area but thankfully no #Reform ones at all... amusingly the big #Conservative hoarding in a field of cows on the road to #Skipton has been used as a scratching post and knocked over and partly eaten by our bovine chums...so..let's hope that's an omen!
I looked in order to check that the Yorkshire Party was included. It was.
Alas for the YP, the tactical voting choice in #Skipton and #Ripon is the LCP, which is best placed to end Julian Smith's parliamentary & CUP ministerial/whip career.
It's sad to see how alike the CUP and RUL candidates's responses were, given that the latter wants to abolish the human rights convention.

Skipton Castle is a really well preserved medieval castle so it is really interesting to walk around, and learn about their three year siege during the civil war.
