Hi @osma ,

It was a great talk and overview of your new developments for Skosmos. I would love to have a meeting with you guys to discuss some things. Currently we are working on React- and JavaScript-based components for , and in our project .

If it is ok for you I would send you mail on Monday to find a slot.

However, I‘m looking forward for your Skomos 3.0 version.

@osma Our thesaurus (for #geosciences mainly) has been transfered to #skosmos by my new colleague. So the first step is done. We are now looking for a possible host system in order to provide it via API for a broader audience and ways of presenting it officially at conferences #BGR

Konnektoren gibt es u.a. für @skohub und #Skosmos, siehe coli-conc.gbv.de/de/blog/2022/ No need to reinvent the wheel... @nfdi4culture

Also, one of the things you could do with #Skosmos: getting a glossary from its API and rendering it on a webpage with Vue.js (one is the full glossary, the other just the 6 most recent terms). klarpsy.de/klarsaurus/

A searchable glossary of scientific terms in psychology in Skos, displayed in a web table. Preflabels, altlabels amd scopenotes in their own columnsA list of 6 glossary terms, only their skos:prefLabel visible in button form. One of the buttons is pressed to display a dropdown with altLabels and scope notes.

Berlin, here I come!

It's now four years since the last in-person #SWIB conference. #swib23 may well be the last one, so let's try to cherish the opportunity to meet in one place!

I will be an instructor for the #Annif tutorial on Monday, moderate a session & hopefully give a Lightning talk on Tuesday. Looking forward to great talks & ofc dinner and coffee breaks are often the most interesting!

Feel free to stop by if you want to talk about #Annif, #Skosmos, #LLMs, #metadata, #Fennica etc.

Small update from the #DiGA project: The #RuhrUniBochum university library, who kindly hosts our #SKOSMOS instance, took some time to develop a small extension for us. Now the DiGA #Thesaurus of #BuddhistArt displays illustrations of the concepts (where available). This is a big step forward, as having images makes understanding the visual concepts much easier! See e.g. w3id.org/diga/terms/1229329640 #DigitalArtHistory #CulturalHeritage #DigitalHumanities

A screenshot of a concept page in the DiGA Thesaurus, showing the text "seated in european position with crossed ankles" next to a black and white illustration.

The terminology service BARTOC #Skosmos had not been updated since years. Last month UB Basel shut down its old server. We received a full backup and are setting up new BARTOC Skosmos at skosmos.bartoc.org/

In her great #swib22 talk on #bibframe modeling Tina Tina Trillitzsch (Leibniz-Institut für Psychologie #ZPID) mentioned they also use #Skosmos for their vocabularies. The instance is not publicly accessible (yet?). See bartoc.org/registries for public Skosmos instances and let us know if there are more!

Bartoc yesterday released FAST, the Federated Asynchronous Search Tool for searching across different controlled vocabularies (built with #python #graphene #GraphQL #Django): bartoc-fast.ub.unibas.ch/barto

It is described as "a strategic shift from uploading as many #Skos #vocabularies as possible to our #Skosmos instance (and thus producing duplicates) to fetching vocabularies from original sources via #API." (twitter.com/BARTOC_UBBasel/sta)
