Happy #MonDog !!

Last week we celebrated two years of snuggles with this love bug. How so much love can fit into such a small creature is one of life's greatest mysteries.

Puppy when I am doing my own yoga practice. In stark contrast to the excitement of the puppy when I am trying to record myself teaching a yoga class!

Testing set ups, volume, and editing. Did a trial of a low to the ground class. Pup spent half the time licking my face and toes and the other half putting out her paw for scritches and love. And flopping on top of me to snuggle! Maybe she thought I was talking to her! Good test run, she got excluded from the second round of testing!

Slowly getting there - almost have the set up in place. Waiting for the trial edit to render. Then I can start recording more classes. I am looking forward to sharing some online yoga classes on kofi soon! Hatha, vinyasa, yin, and restorative!

Pup has the right idea. We are in rest mode over here. Once all the paperwork from finishing my PhD got completed, I crashed hard. I took a whole week off running. My watch has me in recovery mode. I've been doing yin, restorative yoga, and a lot of meditation. I feel like I need a little physical, mental, and emotional reset. I'm slowly easing back into running. I feel really different. My body feels really different. I am less stressed and anxious. I feel lighter. I'm a month out from the start of my training block for an 80km race in May. I'm really curious about how my body will feel in training when I'm not in the stress mode of a PhD. I'm hoping how light I feel emotionally will translate into fleet feet!

I modified my work space in anticipation of my thesis defence (a three hour video meeting). Am taking some time to get comfortable with the space and practice using the video interface (nothing new on race day, PhD version). Pup doesn't like the modification as our chairs are no longer at the same height! So instead of working on my defence prep, we are having a cuddle in pup's chair. This might be even more helpful than the writing I was trying to do!

Pup kept complaining that I was sitting in her chair. Every time I would sit down to work she would whine until I got up. Luckily for her, my work chair happened to be one of a pair! A little furniture Tetris and now we sit side by side to work. She is also now better positioned to supervise my yoga practices!

My study buddy is keeping my page open for me! Slowly making my way through Advanced Yoga Teacher Training, 80% of the way through! I'm designing a class on the second chakra, svashisthana, and I am being kept cosy by the pup. I'm enjoying the class designing process and slowly building a library of classes. I'm also finding Eastern Body, Western Mind by Anodea Judith really fascinating and a great resource for translating between different understandings.

Yoga practice 733/1000 and I had company! Seated poses are snuggling opportunities. Cobra pose? Snuggling opportunity! Staff pose? Snuggling opportunity! Sometimes those snuggles turn to snoozes before I shift poses. So freaking cute!
