The tiny things are vanishing under ice and still too little snow. A few weeks ago I found these beautiful slime molds among the mosses on a decomposing tree.
Maybe Badhamia utricularis.

Just checked in on my studio buddy Slimer. Looks like they're doing great! I just gave them a little snack of oats, but I need to learn how to care for them properly. They live in a bucket of decaying paper pulp that I processed from iris leaves from my garden and then forgot about. I'm not sure if I should move them to some fresher pulp?
I'd like to get them into a prettier container but maybe that's just getting too fancy. They seem content here, anyway.

De herfst is zo lekker: het rotten, het schimmelen. De opruimers aan het werk zien. Slijmzwammen blijven me fascineren. De minatuurzwamvormen die maar weinig mensen opvalt maar waar ik met mijn camera bovenop duik 😁 #fungi #slimemold #macro #photography #paddospam
As requested a higher-resolution / zoomed-in video of the oozing #SlimeMold. It's kinda pretty :-)
Ok. While this is not dog vomit slime mold I'd say it fits the #DogVomitSlimeMoldSunday theme: I present to you "Slimeordial tree boob blobs slime mold" (alternatively known as Wolf's Milk or Lycogala epidendrum).
Anyway. Slimeordial Tree Boob Blobs! Video to show how the inside oozes out. For your scientific curiosity :-)
Strange mushroom find in the forest: my initial thought was someone poured yellow paint over this white Trametes pubescens fungus.
Unlikely in the middle of nowhere.
I think it is covered with a slimemold (Physarum polycephalum?).
Any thoughts? 🤔
A couple of Slime Moulds. The 3 rust coloured spheres are Wolfs Milk (Lycogala epidendrum), the white one is a Blob - could be any of hundreds of species apparently. All explained here in this work of genius: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k_GTIL7AECQ

A fine looking Sunday slime mold for you.
As I’ve come to understand it, slime molds are delightfully weird. Neither one organism nor many, [non-existent pronoun] exist as a single huge cell but with multiple nuclei, each with a different genome.[Pronoun] has no brain but a good memory and can solve mazes. #slimemold
